BAIN & COMPANY EXPANDS WORLDWIDE PARTNER GROUP
Leading global business consulting firm promotes 13 individuals from Brussels, Dallas, Delhi, Johannesburg, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Paris and Sydney.

New York, NY - April 5, 2010- In recognition of their outstanding client achievements and contributions to the firm's continued success, 13 Bain & Company consultants have been promoted to partner.

"Throughout their careers, these individuals have consistently performed at a level that has exceeded our expectations in developing our people and delivering results for our clients," said Bain's Worldwide Managing Director, Steve Ellis. "They exemplify Bain's core values of leadership, innovation and client impact."

Located in nine Bain offices across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific and encompassing a wide range of practices and business sectors, the new partners are:

Brussels

Guy Brusselmans is a Brussels-based partner and a member of the Consumer Goods Practice. He specializes in growth strategy, due diligence and post-merger integration. He has also worked in the firm's Stockholm office and currently leads the sustainability program and professional development and staffing for the Brussels office. Prior to joining Bain, he worked for Procter & Gamble in brand marketing and purchasing. He earned a master's in civil engineering, cum laude, from the University of Ghent. He is fluent in Dutch and English and also speaks French and German.

Dallas

John Norton is a Dallas-based partner in the Performance Improvement and Telecommunications, Media & Technology Practices. He has worked in the firm's Melbourne office. He specializes in growth and corporate turnaround strategy and productivity improvements. In addition to his client work, he has served as Consultant Program Manager for the Dallas office. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a consultant and an analyst at Coastal Power Company. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in finance and earned an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.

Chuck Whitten is a Dallas-based partner in the Oil & Gas, Performance Improvement and Telecommunications, Media & Technology Practices. He specializes in supply chain strategies, including network design, complexity reduction and strategic procurement. In addition to his client work, he has led Dallas' Associate Consultant Recruiting Program and has facilitated global consultant training programs. He is a graduate of Rice University with bachelor's degrees in mathematical economic analysis and history with honors. He also earned an M.B.A from Harvard Business School with high distinction as a George F. Baker Scholar.

Delhi

Pankaj Saluja is a Delhi-based partner in the Consumer Products and Industrial Goods & Services Practices. He specializes in growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions and performance improvement and advising clients on successfully expanding into India. He also advised Indian clients across sectors on long-term strategy and revenue growth for both domestic and international markets. Further, he leads the Bain Cares community and pro bono initiatives for the Delhi office. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a manager at another global consulting firm and also worked as a manager at Coca-Cola. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and earned an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management.

Johannesburg

Tiaan Moolman is a Johannesburg-based partner in the Performance Improvement Practice. He advises multinational and regional companies across multiple sectors, developing growth, corporate and business unit strategies, operational performance improvement and organizational design and merger evaluations. He has also worked in the firm's London and Sydney offices. Prior to joining Bain, Mr. Moolman worked at Ernst & Young as an audit manager. He also worked at the law firm Webber Wentzel and Bowens as a financial manager and was the former managing director at Head to Toe Retail. Mr. Moolman earned a Bachelor of Commerce, cum laude, and postgraduate degrees in Finance and Law from Rand Afrikaans University. He is also a Chartered Accountant.

London

Alex Bhak is a London-based partner in the Telecommunications, Media & Technology and Private Equity Practices. He advises clients across a broad range of sectors, including fixed and mobile communications, television, Internet, interactive entertainment, technology services and equipment on issues such as, corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, customer strategy and cost management. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an officer in the United States Air Force and worked for Asiana Airlines and another consulting firm. He graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in physics and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago's Booth Business School.

Joe Dove is a London-based partner in the Industrial Goods & Services and Performance Improvement Practices. He specializes in due diligence, innovation, complexity reduction, new plant design and optimization, field service and salesforce effectiveness. He has deep expertise in the utilities and chemicals sectors. He also worked in the firm's New York office. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a project engineer at Viasystems UK. He earned a master's of engineering from Cambridge University where he was awarded the IEE and Rolls Royce prizes for excellence, ranking first in his class for the final two years.

Los Angeles

Eric Wells is a Los Angles-based partner in the Consumer Products and Private Equity Practices. He specializes in growth and transformation programs, mergers and acquisitions and performance improvement. He also worked in the firm's Amsterdam and Brussels offices. Additionally, Mr. Wells manages the firm's annual Global Training Program for its manager level employees. He led the strategy development for Green Dot Charter Schools, a Los Angeles office pro bono client. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a master's in education from Stanford University. He earned an M.B.A. with honors as an Arjay Miller Scholar from Stanford's Graduate School of Business.

Mexico City

Julio Rodriguez is a Mexico City-based partner and leader of the office's Consumer Products Practice. He also advises clients within the financial services industry. He specializes in the beverage sector, with a focus on carbonated beverages, and assists clients in developing corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, channel and brand strategies. In financial services, he has expertise in the activation, utilization and retention strategies for credit card operations. He worked in the firm's Amsterdam office. Prior to joining Bain, he was at another global consulting firm. He graduated from ITAM with a degree in telecommunications engineering and also earned a master's in electrical engineering from Cornell University.

David Podolsky is Mexico City-based partner in the Airline Practice. He advises numerous clients globally on strategy, fleet acquisition, network design, cost reduction, labor management and distribution. His primary role has been helping large scale corporate turnaround programs. Additionally, he has significant experience in private equity and manufacturing and procurement. He has worked in the firm's Madrid and Seoul offices. Prior to joining Bain, he worked at another global consulting firm. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Harvard College and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Paris

Ada Di Marzo is a Paris-based partner in the Financial Services Practice. She specializes in growth and corporate turnaround strategy, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, asset liability management and organizational and network restructuring. She has worked in the firm's Amsterdam, Brussels, Dubai and Rome offices. In addition to her client work, she leads the Paris office's Women at Bain mentoring and leadership network and served as manager of its Consultant Professional Development Program. She is also a board member of the Italian Expatriate Women's Network. Prior to joining Bain, she worked in retail banking and asset management at San Paolo Imi - Banco Di Napoli. She also worked at Telecom Italia Finance in the Financial Markets and Treasury department in Luxembourg. She graduated with a master's degree in economics and business administration, summa cum laude, from L.U.I.S.S. University in Rome, Italy.

Daphne Vattier is a Paris-based partner in the Private Equity and Customer Strategy & Marketing. She specializes in profit improvement programs, corporate turnaround strategy, and full potential initiatives with LBO companies. She served as manager of the Paris Associate Consultant Professional Development Program and has worked in the firm's Brussels and Madrid offices. Prior to joining Bain, she worked in marketing and branding at Unilever. She earned a master's in economics from HEC.

Sydney

David Zehner is a Sydney-based partner in the Consumer Products, Retail and Financial Services Practices. He has worked with a broad range of clients on customer strategy and marketing, sales force effectiveness and post-merger integration. He has also worked in the firm's Boston office. Prior to joining Bain, he was an associate at Citigroup. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of New South Wales and a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. In addition, he graduated with an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, where he was a member of the Dean's List and Phi Beta Kappa.
